HOSPITAL AUTHORITY
OF ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY
RESOLUTION
May 18, 1999

With respect to Athens Regional Medical Center's draft long range campus plan the Authority members unanimously agreed, by telephone today, May 18, 1999, to approve the following resolution at its next duly held meeting:

1. The Authority endorses the letter [a copy of which is attached] sent to Athens-Clarke County government's elected and appointed officials, signed by the Chairman of the Athens Regional Medical Center's Programs & Facilities Committee, dated May 13, 1999. That letter outlines the hospital's position on the immediate campus plan and modified the long-range draft campus plan; and commits to soliciting input from the immediate neighborhoods and the community as a whole in the process of preparing its final land use plan as well as cooperating with the Athens-Clarke County Government.

2. The Authority endorses in full the contents of a memorandum [a copy of which is attached] dated May 13, 1999 and sent to Athens-Clarke County elected officials outlining the use of funds in the proposed 1999 bond issue. 3. The Authority takes the action of suspending additional land acquisition for a period of ninety (90) days, until September 1, 1999.

4. Athens Regional Medical Center's governing boards and staff commit to working with Athens-Clarke County government's elected officials and staff and the immediate neighborhoods and the community-at-large to understand issues involved in the planning process for a medium and long range land use plan for Athens Regional Medical Center.

5. The Authority resolves to have conversations with Athens-Clarke County Government to discuss respective issues and relationships to one another.
